Our last travelling day, we showed up for lunch and there was nothing. Arrived an hour early to use the whirlpool and sauna and just chill out. After the spa we went to the hotel restaurant and had a super delicious lunch.

Vibrant colors, lots of greenery and flowers. You can also use their fitness center.

Key Biscayne, Miami - What info are you looking for?

I mean, everyone loves the Ritz Carlton. This hotel is right off the main drag on Key Biscayne. It's so lovely pulling up the driveway. The valets and bellhops are always very attentive. Registration desk was very friendly and efficient. I checked in so quickly. On the way to the elevator there was a case of jewelry just dying for you to buy. The hallways was dotted with tiny chandeliers. When I got to the room, it was gorgeous too. The large bed flanked by nightstands. There was a little desk and a dresser. The large closet had plenty of room for luggage and a safe. The bathroom was marble filled. And the water closet for privacy is nice. I hate the Asprey toiletries at the Ritz -- please upgrade. I returned after surgery, and the bellhop brought me up in a wheelchair. Especially since I couldn't even enjoy the beach or pool in my recovery. My 3rd time back with my wife and there are Pros and Cons for us that made this an OK visit. It was better than average, but for the money and cons, falls short of being a 5 star visit. We are Platinum Elite and hold a Ritz Credit Card; Pros; -Friendly bell service. Cons; -Check In was disappointing. No separate check in for club level guests. We were offered a place to change in the Spa and our room would be ready shortly. We left our number waiting for a text or call, but by 1. Finally went to front desk and miraculously, our room was ready. I suspect our room was ready earlier but they just forgot to contact us. While the upgrade was nice, I'd rather a lesser room be ready. This delay cost us about 4 hours and a nice beach day. I asked several times on Thursday and Friday if the package arrived. Concierge was gruff and annoyed I asked and gave me different answers about when mail arrives, where it goes, etc. I received a note Saturday afternoon they had my package, but did not deliver due to do not disturb sign. You could have called..... By Saturday, it was too late. I checked tracking and my package arrived Thursday at 2p, just after I got my room. Sorry, you could have done more. Breakfast is fine, no issues, but all other offerings are extremely small and limited. Just not worth it IMO. The space is only OK and the balconies small, usually in the sun and way too hot. Cancun does it 1000% better, likely being a resort there is more demand. Our last travelling day, we showed up for lunch and there was nothing. We were informed they were not serving for some reason, still not sure why. They offered us Lightkeepers, but we had a time constraint. Jose at the Front comped us a grab and go, BUT...... Communication overall was lacking. Almost like, they don't want to disappoint the guests with bad news, so we wont tell them. But, I am going to find out anyway, so why not be proactive? We booked well in advance 2 days of treatments. Sadly, they only have 1 nail tech on at a time. So, we could not get a mani and pedi together, which is half the fun. Also, we got several calls on Saturday and a text asking if we want to change our Sunday and Monday treatments to one day since the men's lockerroom would be closed for renovations........ I booked 1-2 months in advance and checked-in on Thursday and you wait till Saturday to mention the closure? Front staff was nice, working staff was cold and cordial at best. It is barely passable to get to the ocean. I am not a fan of trudging thru a large section of filthy, stinky seaweed. Never know what is in it. I know its hard to keep clean, but maybe a wooden walk way or small path raked? Once again, club level ain't cheap. Meaning, when I get to the beach or the pool I am bombarded by servers wanting to bring me drinks and food. Now this is nice, but tell me, would you pay when you can walk inside and get beer, wine and food for free? This concept escapes me. RC needs to do a better job of bringing club level outside. Tell me I can go to Dune and grab stuff included. I saw club on the beach mentioned for special occasions, this needs to be full time. The family pool is nicer, but why can't they be switched? Make the family pool the adult pool so we can access the hot tub, cantina, ice cream, swim shop? The pool should be fun, but is just dull dull dull. Not even an open poolside bar. My paperwork said 11a and I had to call, be put on hold and then they had to check for availability. I could go on and on........ Overall, a nice time. Not a great time and not worth me going out for club level. Staff were friendly, but no one stood out. Carlton does not dissapoint, No he does not. Spent the week over 4th of July 2018 and had a great time. I appreciated everything from the welcoming staff, my sweet cleaning lady, and most of all the down to earth bartender in the RumBar That's a shout out to you Mr. Anthony who had me laughing at the bar while keeping me company- your a good soul. You will not be dissapointed until you get the bill- but you have to pay to play! Beach, pool, and fine dinning. Thank you Ritz Carlton Staff for your genuine hospitality. During my 30 degree walk to the office I found myself thinking back to the warmer temps I enjoyed with my family over the holidays. While we were warm, traveling with 3 little rugrats is never relaxing. Lucky for us my husband and I were able to escape for a quick getaway to the Ritz in Key Biscayne. Thank you grandparents for watching the rugrats! And to Steve Jobs for inventing the ipad so that the grandparents could handle 3 kids. I was willing to escape to any nice resort within a few hours of my hometown of Boca Raton, but chose this one because thought it would be a little quieter than South Beach. Like all hotels in Florida this time of year they were extremely busy. There were lots of families and I felt sightly guilty watching all the kids having fun running around the Ritz's perfectly landscaped lawns throwing a football or splashing around in the pool. However, once I settled in at the very quiet adult pool with a good book and Miami Vice in hand all guilty thoughts vanished from my head. I'm typically a pool person, but thought about enjoying the beach here until I saw it was crammed with many chairs and people. Not sure if it's always that crowded with lawn chairs or just a result of the holiday week. You can always expect stellar service when it comes to the Ritz and this location was no exception. We were well taken care of everywhere: front desk, pool and spa. And they texted me a few times throughout the trip to make sure our stay was wonderful. We enjoyed 3 meals while there + all the yummy drinks at the pool. However, they made up for it at brunch the next day Our room was lovely and comfortable and I felt myself wondering why I don't escape to hotels more often. Oh yes- my children. Everything seemed very clean, although noticed that the trash had not been emptied from the previous visitor. The spa was great too. While it wasn't the best massage of my lifetime, both my husband and I felt ourselves wishing our 50 min couples massage was longer. I would definitely consider coming back and possibly even with my kids in tow next time. I wrote this review while frustrated so held back on posting.... You will read the story below. So I stayed at many RC properties. All day we were locked out of our room. We changed the keys 3 Times. Every time it did not work. At 1am, they discovered that there was an issue with the door battery ran out or something. So at 130 am they moved us to a room with a worse view and a tighter spacing just eh configuration was different. I complained to the person who was on duty and his answer, not what I expected: 'Sir. You have the same square footage. I was very frustrated and was going to end the review... The hotel was nice and clean with the outdoor areas very pleasant. Walks to the beach were super and despite the weather we enjoyed the place. Food was not good. We were at a conference and I know it is difficult to cater but this is a high end hotel. They need to do better - for example I returned my meal twice out of 3 evenings: steak was overcooked I begged for a medium or rare steak and every time a steak was unceremoniously thrown in front of me, it was replaced twice!!! We were there for a week, first week of June. We were happy and impressed from the moment we arrived. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful, not just with my husband and I, but also with my children. They cater to you and make sure you are good and having a great time. Our room was beautiful and every night when we arrived from the pool or beach, they had it ready for us, with either some chocolates, or one time we found some cake and some truffles. Also the rooms were always STOCKED with water. The attention to detail was impressive. When we arrive and the beach or the pool, the staff right away made sure you had a bed or lounge chair, that it was fixed, that we had towels, that we had water, even if it was just the kids by themselves. Their service was A+ ALWAYS, you never found them off their game. They have several restaurants on site and yes they are pricey, but it will be the best you have ever had. All their restaurants are delicious, even the bar food will knock your socks off. We loved it and will DEFINITELY be back. This hotel is the ultimate as far as quality and service go. The scenery is fantastic as the grounds are beautiful. Vibrant colors, lots of greenery and flowers. The staff is very friendly. We had a work conference here and it was done very well. The food was great- fresh seafood, lots of great selection everywhere. The churros are awesome! Aww, your browser has JavaScript turned off! Did you know that JavaScript does the following? Example: There are a few times in life when a meal is so expertly crafted and planned that it is nothing short of genius. Last night, I had one of those meals - the Mahi Mahi. The dish was excellently prepared. Grilled, juicy, and fresh without a hint of fishiness. A glaze of tangerine sauce brought a hint of tart sweetness. The fish was placed on a mound of sweet plantain rice. The combination of the fish and rice alone was to die for! However, as only expert chefs can achieve, additional garnishes provided even bolder, beautiful tastes. Pickled onions topping the fish made for an even finer taste experience, while green beans hidden under the fish added freshness and completed each bite Situated among the tropical surroundings of Key Biscayne, Florida, The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami provides travelers with an escape from everyday duties and worries.
